BOSTWICK CONSISTOMETER
Bostwick viscosity Consistometer
The Consistometer is used to determine the consistency of viscous materials by measuring the distance that the material flows under its own weight in a given time interval. The instrument allows producers of products such as as jellies, preserves, sauces, etc., to predetermine precise and reliable formulas for their product and to standardize production lots.
Use With Tomato Paste
Bostwick or consistency is one of the important criteria that determines the quality of tomato products and especially tomato paste. The fluidity of a tomato paste is primarily related to the amount of pectin it contains and the level of degradation of the pectin, and the consistency is inversely proportional to Bostwick. The higher the density, the lower the bostwick value.
It is intended for the content of promotional materials with which the Bostwick consistencyometer has been applied. It is a standard tool used in tomato pastes. The fluidity of the device consists of the treasury in which the tomato paste is filled and the two spaces that must be filled in order to fill the tomato paste.
